Planned projects

We envisage that installation of renewable solar power energy will result in a considerable improvement in the girls’ learning environment by allowing significantly more time for studies and assignments, and enhancing their learning experiences, leading to increased literacy, improved education attainment and academic growth, increased school enrolment, higher rates of retention, and reduced dropout rates. Additionally, lighting up the school would greatly enhance security on the premises during the dark, safeguarding the adolescent girls who are some of the most vulnerable in the society.
Better teaching would be provided for the learners using online teaching tools and educational material, profoundly impacting on the girls’ education through their interconnection in a worldwide web of information and resources, improving their information processing efficiency, communication and future employment opportunities.
Construction of the ablution block and ensuring sufficient access to clean and safe water would improve the girls’ psychosocial well being, dignity, comfort, and their ability to manage menstruation hygienically and without shame. The improvement in their psychosocial wellbeing would in turn increase learning levels, thus closing the gap in gender disparities in health and education.
We anticipate that improving the girls’ dining experience would impact positively on their health and sense of wellbeing due to the right atmosphere and organisation in their dining space. This positive change in culture and ethos would provide the students with a better understanding of healthy eating and promote social skills, and personal development away, from classroom pressures.
